Old-Fashioned Christmas Hot Chocolate
A simple stovetop hot chocolate using cocoa, chocolate and milk for Christmas Eve or a cold December night.
For two mugs
500 ml milk
2 tbsp cocoa
50 g dark or milk chocolate
1–2 tsp sugar, to taste
Pinch of salt
Optional cinnamon or vanilla
Warm everything gently while whisking until smooth. Do not boil it into submission. Pour into heavy mugs and add marshmallows if that is the household law.
